We’ll begin by creating the tree, then add the trunk and finish with the star. Once all the pieces are complete, we’ll string them together using jute for a beautiful finished piece.

📏 Size

The finished tree when blocked should come out to 6cm/2.35" x 9.5cm/3.75" including the trunk or 6cm/2.35" x 7.5cm/3"without the trunk.

The finished star has a diameter of 3cm/1.2".

All measurements depend on tension and yarn choice.

1.1. Green - Ch 13. Yo and insert your hook into the 5th ch from the hook. Pull up a loop, about the length of the leftover ch.

1.2. Yo and insert your hook into the same st and pull up a loop x 4.

Sl st into the first sc to join.

a. End with an inv join by sewing front

b. Then into the last sc we made.

Block star for sharper points.

PART TWO - ASSEMBLY

SEWING STAR TO TREE

a. Using your tapestry needle, sew your tail through the centre of the cluster.

b. Sew tail through the star to match the other tail.

c. Double knot.

d. Weave in ends.

Finished tree.
